The Tree House Treaty

 We read the book The Tree House Treaty by Wiremu Grace. The children in the story built a tree hut in a big old Pohutakawa tree. They made a treaty to agree how they could all use their tree hut fairly. We created our own class treaty to symbolize how our class is a friendly and supportive learning environment.

This book also enhances the Treaty of Waitangi.

Global minded is crucials = HPS are very culturally responsive.

4 essentials for PYP
* Approaches to learning
* Key concepts = 7 - reflective, skills, action, disciplinary themes

It has to be displayed in the studios. Pam has explained the core aspect of PYP. Through this PD we have developed a fundamental elements about what PYP and how HPS plan their units through the NZC to deliver our learners. Reflection: Still confused and don't know what to do. However have the glimpse knowledge about what to do. and how this will be seen over the coming weeks. I thought that during my BT release I should read the 3 booklets about the PYP to gain more valuable knowledge in PYP.
