Term 1 week 5 (Lockdown online learning )

Due to level 3 lockdown in Auckland we have planned catering all the students learning needs for the week.

Studio information evening

Studio information evening suppose to be on the 19th. However due to level 2 restrictions it got postponed till 26th of February. 

Meeting the parents through zoom ( during lockdown level 3)

 

The meeting was great. Through this meetings I got.to understand where the students are at and to see where the parents are at for their child is at. 

PYP bubble planner

We have completed our first PYP inquiry planning. 

During lockdown we have completed our planning through google meet.
Jessica and Pam attended this planning sessions. 

PYP Induction meeting

Today we had the opportunity to know the fundalmental elements of what PYP was .

The main thing I got from here are to focus on the concept and less is better.  :) 

Lock down for three days

Week 3 Monday to Wednesday learning from home. Due to level 3 lock down. We craated this slides for the students to do during those days.

The Tree House Treaty

 We read the book The Tree House Treaty by Wiremu Grace. The children in the story built a tree hut in a big old Pohutakawa tree. They made a treaty to agree how they could all use their tree hut fairly. We created our own class treaty to symbolize how our class is a friendly and supportive learning environment.

This book also enhances the Treaty of Waitangi.
